Meet LaTonia Long

Candidate for Mayor of Mableton

I am a native Georgian and graduate of Georgia State University. My husband and I have lived here in Mableton for 10 years, raising our two children in this community. I am experienced in public policy and established relationships across the region that will help us be successful. Further, my time as Chief of Staff to Senate Minority Leader, Democrat Gloria Butler taught me how to build bridges and bring communities together around a vision. With your vote and support, I will be a voice for all of Mableton and work to make our city successful.

As mayor, I will focus our first year on creating:

Parks and Recreations Office

Every great city is made up of communities and greenspaces. We can create state of the art, family friend parks in every part of Mableton and build recreational programs that engage our children from toddlers through their teenage years.

Department of Zoning

To protect what makes Mableton a desirable place and promote smart and responsible growth

Code Enforcement Team

To ensure we have consistent design standards to ensure the beauty and safety of our community.
